The Transport Department, Govt of Gujarat has extended the deadline to 31st July 2018 for the affixing HSRP on all vehicles in the state. Post the deadline, the Govt may impose fines on vehicle owners for non-compliance.

The HSRP is guratnteed for a period of five years from the date of affixation. In case of any wear and tear due to natural causes, the HSRP will be replaced free of cost at any of the RTO's/Authorised Deemed Dealer Premises.

It is mandatory for all vehicles registered in the State of Gujarat to be fitted with H.S.R.P An HSRP, according to Central Motor Vehicles Act can only be affixed at a Regional Transport Office or a dealer which has been declared as a Deemed Dealer for the purpose of HSRP operations by the concerned RTO / Commissioner of Transport, Government of Gujarat. There are certain dealers across Gujarat who have been authorized to carry out all HSRP operations including fitment at their premises.
